Dear Parents,

I would like to share with you the generosity of our Muir students, parents, and staff during this Holiday season:

  • 2,662 cans were donated in our recent food drive (this does not reflect the nearly 4,000 cans collected during our Community Fridays throughout the year)
  • Nearly $1,300 was donated by students and staff for our Adopt-a-Family (these funds provided gifts & groceries for needy families in our school)
  • Supplies for our U.S. troops, such as toiletries, trail mix, sunflower seeds, beef jerky, etc. were donated to the "Desert Angels" program.
  • Also, beginning in January, Team 701 will be collecting used cell phones for soldiers.  If you have an old cell phone that you would like to donate, please feel free to drop it off in our Main Office.

Thank you so much for all of your support.  As always, the Huron Valley community has made the holidays an extra special time for many in  our community.  Enjoy the Holiday break with family & friends and I look forward to seeing you in 2012!!!

Paperless Report Cards!

In an effort to reduce paper costs to maximize funds for teaching and learning and conserve natural resources, this year Huron Valley Schools will utilize Family Access to implement a paperless report card system at the elementary, middle and high school levels.

If you do not already have a Family Access id and password, please contact the Family Access hotline at 248-676-2350 or email FamilyAccess@hvs.org. Please include your name, your child’s name, your email address and phone number along with child's designated school.

If you do not have access to technology and would like to receive a paper copy of the report card, please contact the Muir office so a document can be printed for you.

With the marking period ending this week, Muir students and parents can access their report cards beginning next Friday, November 11th (@ 9:00 a.m.). If you have questions or need further assistance, please contact Susie Roberts at (248) 684-8060.

We believe that our purpose is to educate all students and promote responsible decision-making and self-worth.
