Kurtz Elementary School

School Improvement

The Kurtz School Improvement Team consists of:

• Principal
• Literacy Coach
• Upper El Teacher
• Lower El Teacher
• Specials Teacher
• Special Ed. Staff Member
• Parent

In the spring of every year, the team meets to formulate our School Improvement goals for the following school year. These goals are based on student learning data that the staff analyzes throughout the year. The plan is then given to the entire staff for review and input. The final plan is submitted to the Michigan Department of Education by September 1st.

Each year 3-4 new members rotate out of the committee with new members replacing them representing each stake holder group.
