Johnson Mission Statement

Just as a house needs a firm foundation on which to stand, we believe our children need a firm foundation to develop a commitment to lifelong learning, and to become compassionate, contributing citizens of the community.

The mission of Johnson elementary is to educate all students by establishing high standards of learning.

• We recognize and respect all Johnson students as individuals with different needs. We meet those needs to prepare students to reach their fullest potential.
• We provide guidance, challenging children through a variety of methods and experiences to become wise problem solvers, and develop skills enabling them to become good citizens.
• We enrich children through an appreciation of fine arts, and development of good health habits for physical well being.
• We encourage our children, both socially and emotionally, to develop positive self-esteem and to interact respectfully with others and their environment.
• We provide our children with the opportunity to become academically proficient and personally responsible in a safe, nurturing environment.
